Synopsis

Denise is a teenager taken away from her father with whom she has a consenting sexual relationship. She is now in a community centre, among people who want to give her the help and care she is not in need of. She is closing herself off, conscious of the fact that nobody can understand her.

Denise è un’adolescente strappata dalle braccia del padre, con il quale ha una relazione sessuale consenziente. La ragazza viene trasferita in una comunità alloggio, affidata a persone che vogliono darle una protezione della quale lei non sente il bisogno. Si chiude in se stessa, consapevole di non poter essere compresa dagli altri.

Rossella Inglese was born in Battipaglia in 1989. She is a screenwriter, editor and emerging filmmaker. In 2012 she founded the production company Fedra Film together with cinematographer Andrea Benjamin Manenti. In 2016 she wrote and directed the short film "Vanilla", presented at Venice Film Festival in the Sic@Sic section of the 31st International Critics Week. She later realized the short film "Sara" under the supervision of Mirko Locatelli (director of the film "I Corpi Estranei") and "Denise". Rossella puts at the center of her films teenage female characters struggling with the exploration of their sexuality.

Rossella Inglese è nata a Battipaglia nel 1989. È una sceneggiatrice, montatrice e regista emergente. Nel 2012 fonda la produzione Fedra Film insieme al direttore della fotografia Andrea Benjamin Manenti. Nel 2016 scrive e dirige il cortometraggio “Vanilla”, presentato alla Mostra del Cinema di Venezia nella sezione Sic@Sic della 31° Settimana Internazionale della Critica. In seguito realizza il cortometraggio "Sara" sotto la supervisione di Mirko Locatelli (regista del film "I Corpi Estranei") e "Denise". La regista pone al centro dei suoi film personaggi femminili adolescenti alle prese con l’esplorazione della propria sessualità.
