Synopsis
English
Roman is a young Latino newly arrived in Milan to reunite with his mother. Nora, a girl of Roman's age and origins, tells him about the Armada Latina, a feared and respected Latin gang. He thinks it might be the only way to get out of anonymity and loneliness. However before joining the new family he will have to go through a “baptism”.

Roman è ragazzino sudamericano arrivato a Milano da poco per ricongiungersi con la madre. Nora, una coetanea delle sue stesse origini, gli farà conoscere l’Armada Latina, la più temuta gang sudamericana in città. Unirsi alla banda sembra per lui l’unica via di uscita dall’anonimato e dalla solitudine. Ma per farne parte dovrà prima superare il loro “battesimo”.

Mauro Vecchi is an Italian director. Ever since his teen, he has been developing a keen interest for moving images drawing flipbook animations and directing freaky short films in stop-motion. After studying Cinema and Arts at Bologna University, he started his career as a film director. Since 2006 he has directed tv adverts for many international brands including Coca Cola, McDonald’s, Samsung, Tim, Vodafone, Sony Ericsson, Bmw, Fiat, Yamaha, Kellogg’s, Liu-Jo, Adidas and Puma. After years working on tv commercials he’s now developing a feature film project which “Bautismo” and “El Nudo” are part of. "Bautismo", world premiere at the Roma Creative Contest, won the award for Best Soundtrack.

Mauro Vecchi è un regista italiano. Sin da adolescente, sviluppa un vivo interesse per le immagini in movimento disegnando animazioni flipbook e dirigendo bizzarri cortometraggi in stop-motion. Dopo aver studiato Cinema e Arti presso l'Università di Bologna, inizia la sua carriera come regista. Dal 2006 dirige spot televisivi per molti marchi internazionali tra cui Coca Cola, McDonald's, Samsung, Tim, Vodafone, Sony Ericsson, Bmw, Fiat, Yamaha, Kellogg's, Liu-Jo, Adidas e Puma. Dopo anni di lavoro in spot televisivi, sta ora sviluppando un progetto di lungometraggio di cui fanno parte "Bautismo" e "El Nudo". “Bautismo”, in anteprima mondiale al Roma Creative Contest, vince il premio per la Miglior Colonna Sonora.
