A married couple faces the loss of their child. On the journey home after saying goodbye, the man feels distant from his wife – like never before. In a desperate search to mend the pain, he makes a decision that affects them both.

Lorenzo Ferrante was born in Milan in 1990. He graduated in Film Direction from Istituto Albe Steiner in 2010. He then started to work, in multiple fields, on several films between Milan and Rome. In 2011 he directed his first short film “Amigdala”. In 2015 he directed “Nel Silenzio” which obteined several awards and nominations including that of Nastri D’Argento 2016. In 2017 he relocated to New York City, where he currently works as a film director and editor. “Closeness” (2018) is his latest short film.

Lorenzo Ferrante nasce a Milano nel 1990, si diploma in regia cinematografica nel 2010 presso l’Istituto Albe Steiner, per poi iniziare a lavorare in svariati film tra Milano e Roma ricoprendo diversi ruoli. Nel 2011 gira il suo primo cortometraggio dal titolo “Amigdala”. Nel 2015 dirige “Nel Silenzio” che ottiene numerosi premi e candidature tra cui quella ai Nastri D’Argento 2016. Nel 2017 si trasferisce a New York City, dove lavora come regista e montatore. “Closeness” (2018) è il suo ultimo cortometraggio.
